We are hiring for a Chemist 3 (Senior Chemist Cannabis Reference Laboratory) (CRL) position in our new Wilsonville lab. What you'll be doing Leads the development and validation of new methods to meet changes in current best practices, technologies, regulatory framework, or customer needs. Serves as an instrumentation expert for area's work in use of LC-QQQ, GC-QQQ, HPLC and other instruments. Carry out extractions and prepare samples of various matrices for analysis of cannabis and cannabis products. Experience in reviewing and quantifying of data generated from the instrumentation. Prepare various standards and solutions as needed. Maintain all relevant records and documentation. Authors and reviews technical documents such as SOPs and work instructions. Senior member of a team with focus on cannabis related analyses. Performs other job-related tasks (within the scope of experience and training) as specified by the laboratory manager/director. Minimum qualifications: Two years of experience independently performing analytical chemistry procedures which include designing, developing, and implementing analytical methods and procedures and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. OR Three additional years of pertinent experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree. Demonstrated expertise in chemistry and chemical testing based on education and previous work experience in a laboratory conducting testing of samples. Demonstrated expertise in analytical laboratory procedures, techniques, and scientific methods of measurement. Working knowledge of regulatory and quality control guidelines related to testing and research, including cGMP and ISO/IEC 17025. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate ethical and sound judgment. Keen attention to detail, self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to think outside the box, focused on continuous improvement. Ability to multi-task and work with flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and sometimes challenging environment. Strong time-management skills and ability to perform strategic prioritization. Promote a strong customer service culture while adhering to the highest quality and industry standards. Excellent organizational skills.
